Join us and watch our VP Ty Martin head to the Oregon desert and take an excellent Oregon Mule Deer.
The hunt started a couple days prior when the Rangers were unloaded and we headed out scouting for some muleys in the area. We quickly discovered that the area we were in had very few deer and that many less bucks. During scouting, there was a total of 3-4 bucks that were seen, and at that, none that Ty was willing to put his tag on.
Opening day came around and the decision was to head back to the one area we saw some bucks to see if we could turn something else up in the area. Lo and behold, Ty spotted a couple decent bucks about 2.5 miles away bedded under a cliff.
Ty and camera man Tim, who also holds a rifle deer tag, head up to the top of the cliffs to find out that the deer moved a good distance away and were unable to find them for a few hours in the hot October heat.
After a lunch and some time behind the glass, the deer were picked up again and the hunt was on.
