The MOA Extreme Phantom is the lightest custom hunting rifle we've ever built weighing in at 4lb, 14oz — a purpose-driven backcountry rifle built around the all-new Defiance X7 titanium action.

These options are just the starting point. We offer fully custom options. This Phantom build can be built on any of our stock configurations. Weight may vary per stock design.

Extreme Phantom

The MOA Extreme Phantom was built for one thing: getting a precision rifle to the top of the mountain without leaving your legs on the trail. This is not a compromise build — it's a purpose-built ultralight system where every component was chosen to shed weight without shedding performance.

Weighing as low as 4 lbs. 14 oz., the Phantom is the lightest complete rifle we've ever put our name on. On the scale, it barely registers. In the field, it doesn't miss.

The foundation of this build is the all-new Defiance X7 — a titanium action built on the Model 7 platform. The Model 7 footprint is smaller by design, and Defiance used every inch of that advantage to build the X7 down to 14.9 oz. Engineered specifically for cartridges with an OAL up to 2.840 inches. Nothing more, nothing less.

The Phantom sits in the McMillan Hunters Edge Sendero stock — the lightest stock McMillan makes, relieved and milled to remove every ounce that doesn't serve a function. Paired with a carbon or steel barrel, a TriggerTech Special, and a single-piece trigger guard, there is nothing on this rifle that doesn't earn its place.

The Phantom currently is built with an ADL top feed design. This is intentional for maximum weight savings. Additional DBM & BDL bottom metal options are coming soon. If getting to the top of the drainage before legal light matters more — this is your rifle.

Stock Color Options

You have the option to either stick with the color option viewed above or select from an assortment of colors from our stock manufacturer. Click the button to the side to choose other colors. All carbon fiber stocks can be finished with carbon ambush, banded carbon, or painted patterns.

Choosing a custom color that different than the color listed on the website can lead to longer wait times.
